Saw this from other people blogs, and find it point straight to the point!
I am hard to be read, but if you are reading me like a book, because I let you so. It's because you are important to me.

So how does jimi read you? Go here

Going to Hong Kong in T minus 5 Hours

Phew~! Finally I managed to sort out most of the photos taken during the previous wedding photo shoots and select some of them to be feature in my blog. That was an interesting experience and a tiring day. Took me about a week to finish sorting them but not yet done doing some minor tweaks so that they are ready to be hand over to the owners!

Oh yea! Finally one of my must visit country is going to be Checked! Hong Kong!
I still remember the last time that I planned to visit there was in the year 2008 but too bad it doesn't happened. Then this trip was suppose to happen on this year July where I am to meet Khai Sheng at Hong Kong but due to work commitment I was not able to make it as well! During that period I was actually sailing at the sea! Somewhere between Sumatera, Malaysia and Singapore.

That has cost me 200SGD for changing the flight date. I had thought of forfeit the air ticket but yet now i am packing my stuff for early flight in the morning! Can't wait to be there! Feeling excitement already!

The past few week had really been very busy because the vessel I used to work with came back for some repair and upgrading. Due to the tight schedule, I was required to work late and hands on. That had cause me drop death early in the evening and don't have personal time as well. Now is the time to gain back the privilege! A vacation is what I need!

Ok... more on Hong Kong after I am back!

Kim Cen and Catherine Wedding

First of all I would like to thank Kim Cen and Catherine for giving me this wonderful opportunity in taking their wedding photos! It was my very first full coverage of wedding photo shoots and there are still lot more for me to learn from. This is really a huge step for me as before I am only covering certain parts of the wedding ceremony process.

Kim Cen and Catherine were really a wonderful couple as they had been in a relationship since 7 years ago and still counting. This shows that their love for each other is even tougher that the world hardest material - The Diamond. Catherine is a teacher, that why her sisters were all dressed in formal whereas Kim Cen band of brothers decided to suit up themselves to look like a nerdy students ready to be lectured!

I hereby again wish them Happy Marriage!

Lapsed Photos - Padi Field at Permatang Pauh!

I find that I missed out quite a numbers of photo taken during the previous Chinese New Year! Though I posted them at the facebook and Fotologue.

Luckily when I look back at my photo catalog after I fix my comp and reformat my hard disk then only I noticed that. Seriously I really wonder why I didn't upload them though I though I did! If anyone of you remember you saw those photo at my blog, please let me know maybe some glitches happened and they were gone. *scratching my head*

This was with the help of the enthusiast Chin Hou and Zen Yang for meeting me in evening of Year-pass Eve which is also the day I reach BM!

We went to Permatang Pauh Padi field for all the shots below!

Bukit Mertajam - My Home Town

Zen Yang brought along his Er Hu and change into his Zhong San Zhuang (Traditional Chinese Cloathing)!

Some behind the scene before we jump into the result! Thanks to Human Light Stand! Chin Hou really helped me a lot with it! Due to the sunset and Zen Yang is facing the sun, we need a strobe with an umbrella to light him up from the silhouette.

Different touch of colour processing.

It was really a great experience to shooting out at the field! Very challenging luckily it was not a paid job because I still find that I didn't do well enough for it.
For this photo session I found that Wireless Trigger for the SB600 and the pop up flash actually can't work well if you are direct with the sunlight, you would need to redirect the pop up flash so that it was not directly flash into the sun, else the sb600 will not be able to trigger wirelessly.

The sun really set itself at a fast pace, perhaps the happiest moment passes the fastest in time! Soon after that we had to pack up and go because non of us bring along the torch light to maneuver around the padi field in dark! Maybe next time! Padi Field in the dark! That might be interesting as well!

Too a group photo marked the end of the day! And starting of a whole new year!

I think I should do this more often!

Long Waited Mount Kinabalu Via Ferrata

I had a lot of electronic device breakdown for the pass few week! First is my D80 shutter box next is my Hard disk! But luckily I did backup of all my photo in a separated hard drive!

So now is time for the Via Ferrata @ Mountain Kinabalu at Sabah!
It was actually a very random trip that my colleagues and I had. Vincent suddenly asked me about a short trip at Mountain Kinabalu then I said sure why not! Then they begin to ask for quotation at Sutera Harbour. Instead of going through Travel agents you can actually plan yourself by going to http://www.suteraharbour.com

But that wasn't enough for us. One of my friend say he wanted more out of the trip, then I told them that I once saw advertisement at the Laban Rata Rest House that there was something like rock climbing where you will have to wear harness and protective gears but I don't know it was actually Via Ferrata.

Then my friend Zhong Han went all the way to do some sourcing on the net and we finally end up at Mountain Torq the provider of World highest Via Ferrata! That's how we all end up doing Via Ferrata 3000 Meters above sea level!

That's the Starting Point of Via Ferrata.

Of course before stating this extreme sport, safety is the most important! get the harness checked, head gears on, safety rope tightened and double checked!

The one in Red is the instructor. To do the Via Ferrata at Mt. Kinabalu, you must be attended by a guide and the size of the group is 1 to 6. Without the guide no one is allowed to do the Via Ferrata on their own.

That's how it looks like for the descending on the Via Ferrata.

That's Pig tail! Which we have to hook on our guide rope into it like a  check point. Safety Feature. So i can say that is very safe to do Via Ferrata at Mt. Kinabalu.

Those are commonly found along the cliff of the rocky mountain. You can use it or don't use it. But best is to use it. XD

Is not easy to take photography up there as you have to tuck in all loosen item securely else they will be hitting on the rocky surface and scratch your equipment.

That's the carabina, which you need to hook on the guided stainless steel rope all the way. hook and unhook at each pig tail!

That's steps that you you descend vertical surface.

That's how it looks like when you were descending! is 3000m above sea level!

That's one of the Via Ferrata Highlight - Hanging Bridge!

Soon after we descend, the fog turn very heavy and the visibility is about 6 meters. The Fog is made out of water vapor which chilled the atmosphere! I think when we started to descend it was around 10 degree Celsius. When it fogged, it drop further more to 6 I guess.

That's the 3 wire bridge! And even a 2 wire bridge which I don't have the footage of it because it started to rain soon after we crossed this bridge!

That's my friend hanging at the cliff!

That's more or less about the Via Ferrata at Mountain Kinabalu. No photo taken after this because it rain like quite heavily and I have to keep my camera back into my pouch.

It was really freezing cold up there where the wind doesn't stop blowing! The trail is quite long as well. WE stated at 7:30 a.m. and only manage to finish it at about 12:30p.m. and we were all soaking wet, starving as well!

This Mount Kinabalu was my second visit on it and I am sure there will be a third one! Via Ferrata? Yea... is a little bit expensive but worth to do it once in a life time!
